Biography
Dr. Marcelo González is a devoted healthcare professional passionate about enabling people to achieve their best physical potential. He received his medical degree from UCIMED and underwent an Orthopedic and Trauma Surgery Residency at Universidad de Costa Rica.
He worked at Hospital San Juan de Dios, CCSS, as an orthopedic and trauma surgery resident, taking on significant responsibilities in patient care and medical emergencies. He was also a general physician and program director at CENARE Surgery Department.
He joined the RMI in May 2023 as a General Physician focused on Orthopedics, where he diagnoses and treats musculoskeletal injuries using high-definition ultrasound.
Dr. González's proficiency in Orthopedics is rooted in his lifelong passion for sports and anatomy. This passion has honed his exceptional skills in diagnosing conditions with a strong focus on anatomy. He firmly believes that the future of medicine lies in disease prevention rather than treatment.
He brings together clinical acumen and research capabilities to contribute to the immediate well-being of his patients and the advancement of preventative healthcare.
